The Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method is a medically designed Ketogenic protocol containing 4 phases with 2 key components – weight loss and healthier lifestyle education to assist you in maintaining your results after dieting. Our protocol has evolved for over 20 years but was originally developed over 2 decades ago by a doctor who focused his career and research on nutrition with a particular emphasis on the treatment of obesity and obesity-related issues.

The Phases of Ideal Protein

Phase One - Weight Loss

Achieving 100% of your weight loss results through a safe ketogenic diet – You will remain in this phase until you reach your weight loss goal. During this phase, you will eat Ideal Protein breakfasts, lunches (with vegetables), and snacks. For dinner, you will have lean meats and vegetables. You can expect to check in weekly with your coach.

Phase Two - Preparation

Learning the fundamentals of food and how it impacts your body – You will remain in this phase for approximately two weeks. You will eat Ideal Protein breakfasts and snacks. For lunch and dinner, you can expect to eat lean meats and vegetables. You can expect weekly check-ins during this phase.

Phase Three - Nutrition Education

Focusing on developing smarter eating habits and better lifestyle living – This phase will last approximately two weeks. You will eat:

  • Macronutrient balanced, substantial breakfasts of your own design
  • Ideal Protein snacks
  • Lean meats and vegetables for dinner

You will begin food logging, preferably in MyFitnessPal (a smartphone app and online website). You will begin learning how to keep the weight off for life through macronutrient balance, calorie balance, quality of food, and cheat meals. You can expect to check in weekly with your coach during this phase.

Phase Four - Maintenance Phase

Maintaining your Ideal Weight and the new you! The Ideal You! – This phase will last the rest of your life. You will eat healthy, macronutrient balanced meals six days per week with one cheat day per week! You can have optional check-ins with your coach for up to one year.
